The Job & Project Management Center is the Job Costing equivalent of the Customer Management Center or the Inventory & Services Management Center.  It is designed to give you easy access all types of job information.  To get to it, click on the Job Navigation Center (the Jobs tab on the left side of the main Peachtree window).  Then at the top, the second tab is Job Management.  After clicking on it, you can select a job ID to see basic job information, profitability, and transactions posted to that job.  By clicking the Customize This Page button at the top you can choose which modules to display.  The modules you can choose from are:

  • Change Orders
  • Credit Memos
  • Customer Information
  • Expense Tickets
  • General Journal Entries
  • Inventory Adjustments
  • Job Information
  • Job-to-date Profitability
  • Payments Applied To Expenses
  • Payroll Entries
  • Proposals
  • Purchase Orders
  • Purchases/Inventory Received
  • Quotes
  • Receipts Applied To Revenues
  • Sales Invoices
  • Sales Orders
  • Time Tickets
  • Vendor Credit Memos
  • Write Checks

Each of those modules can also be customized, allowing you to choose which columns are displayed, how they are sorted, and what date range is used.  And modules can be printed, or sent to Excel, PDF, or email.

Now, some of you that have already upgraded to 2011 may be wondering why you can’t find this great new feature.  The bad news is, this feature is exclusive to Peachtree Quantum.  But there is good news is too.  Peachtree Quantum is now available in a 5 user version, making it more affordable for that don’t need the 10 users license that used to be the minimum.
