In Peachtree Complete 2011 and higher, Sage has made it easier to find information about assemblies and components.  These new features are a part of the new Inventory/Services Management Center. Here is how you can access them.

  • Click the Inventory & Services tab on the left side of the main Peachtree window.
  • Click on Inventory/Service Management at the top of that window.
  • Click the Customize This Page button above that.
  • In the window that comes up, the list on the right shows which modules are currently being displayed.  The list on the left shows all modules that can be selected.  The first entry on the list should be Assemblies Built/Unbuilt. Click on it so it is highlighted and then click Add. That will add it to the list of displayed modules.  Repeat for Assemblies Using Item, and Bill Of Materials.
  • If you want to change the order of the modules displayed, click on the name of the module you want to move and use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to put them in the order you want.
  • When you have everything set the way you want, click OK to close the window and save your changes.

At the top of the window, enter the Item ID for an assembly or a component.  Then scroll down to find the sections we just added to the display.  Now you will be able to see the bill of materials for assemblies with quantity on had for each component, the build/unbuild history for assemblies, and which assemblies use a particular component.

Each of these modules can also be customized.  At the top right of each section is a button with a picture of a gear.  Click it and you can add or remove columns in that section.  The other two buttons let you print the information, or send it to Excel, PDF, or email.
