Sage 50 2022 New Features

Support for State Paid Family & Medical Leave Deductions

New payroll functionality has been added to accommodate the paid family and medical leave deductions that have recently been adopted by several states, including Connecticut, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Washington, with more states coming in the future.

Improved Banking Services

Bank feeds allow you to connect directly to your bank to simplify account reconciliation. The improvements in this release provide a faster, more reliable connection as well as a simplified onboarding experience when adding new banks.

Improved Sage Remote Data Access

Remote Data Access (formerly known as Sage Drive) can now let you know whether connection problems are due to a dropped internet connection or an outage of a Sage service, to help you better decide what action to take. It also gives you the option to open your company in read-only mode when you’re offline.

Updated 1099 References

In 2020, the IRS redesigned the 1099-MISC and brought back the 1099-NEC. While reporting was addressed in time for 2020 reporting, descriptive fields have now been updated in screens such as the 1099 Default Settings.
